Earthquake: 3.8 quake strikes near Big Bear City

A shallow magnitude 3.8 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning three miles from Big Bear City, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:24 a.m. PST at a depth of 0.6 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 18 miles from Lake Arrowhead, 21 miles from Yucaipa and 22 miles from Apple Valley.
In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
