Earthquake: 3.1 quake strikes near West Bishop

A shallow magnitude 3.1 earthquake was reported Thursday morning 11 miles from West Bishop, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:45 a.m. PDT at a depth of 8.1 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 66 miles from Sanger, 68 miles from Clovis and 68 miles from Reedley.
In the past 10 days, there have been three earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
