The killing of eight people at a Seal Beach hair salon is believe to be the largest mass killing in Orange County history. Here are some other mass killings in California:
2008: Bruce Jeffrey Pardo kills nine people at a Christmas Eve party in Covina
1993: Businessman Gian Luigi Ferri kills eight people at downtown San Francisco high-rise.
1989: Ramon Salcido kills seven people in a Sonoma County rampage.
1984: James Huberty kills 21 people at a McDonald’s in San Ysidro.
1976: Edward Allaway opens fire at the Cal State Fullerton Library, killing seven people.
1940: Verlin Spencer, a disgruntled South Pasadena junior high school principal, kills five in a campus shooting.
1910: James B. McNamara bombs the Los Angeles Times, killing 20 people.
