Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close: A youngster (Thomas Horn) tries to solve the last riddle that was left for him by his father (Tom Hanks), who died in the 9/11 attacks. Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis, John Goodman, Jeffrey Wright and Max von Sydow also star in this 2011 drama (7:30 p.m. HBO).

Killer Among Us: A girl (Tess Atkins) helps a detective (Tom Cavanagh) investigate the mysterious murder of her mother in this new TV mystery (8 and 10 p.m. Lifetime).
