Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds was awarded the 2,508th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.
Edmonds, who has crafted more than 100 top 10 R&B and pop singles during his career and was called the Quincy Jones of the ‘90s, accepted the honor with Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Usher and Sean “Diddy” Combs at his side.
A 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-producer, Edmonds wrote some of the 1990s’ most successful R&B jams and worked with the decade’s top tier artists -- and found his own successful career as a solo artist thanks to his smooth, seductive brand of R&B.

Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Boyz II Men, Pink, TLC, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion and Toni Braxton are just a few of the stars whose music has been infused with his classic blend of pop melody and soulful R&B grit.
With Reid -- both were part of ‘80s R&B/post-disco outfit the Deele -- he founded LaFace Records, which ushered in an era of acts that helped define ‘90s R&B including TLC, Usher and Braxton.
Babyface continues to be in high demand, working with a new generation of acts including Fall Out Boy, Lil Wayne and Ariana Grande on her recent debut, “Yours Truly.”
His duets album with longtime muse Braxton, “Love, Marriage, Divorce,” is set for release in November.
