“American Idol” winner Lee DeWyze, Nickelodeon stars Leon Thomas III and Cody Longo are among the acts that will headline Universal CityWalk’s concert series, the entertainment complex announced earlier this week.
CityWalk’s “Music Spotlight Series” features a mix of street performers and emerging artists.
The series happens every Friday and Saturday night from March 22 to April 20 at CityWalk’s free outdoor venue, 5 Towers.

Street performers will lead Friday shows, with emerging acts performing on Saturday. Popular street performer Chelsea Williams and pop/rock trio Artist Versus Poet – which features “The Voice” contestant Joe Kirkland -- kick off the series on March 22 and 23, respectively.
The popular entertainment and retail promenade expanded its outdoor venue in 2011 to become the centerpiece of the largely tourist attraction with the addition of thousands of LED fixtures, motion-capture sensors, a massive video monitor and the five towering light sculptures.
5 Towers has previously hosted free shows that featured Cee-Lo Green, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tyreese and Mindless Behavior.
More information including the full performance schedule is available on the CityWalk website.
