Hollywood Museum to open ‘Harry Potter’ exhibition Wednesday

The Hollywood Museum at the vintage Max Factor Building is opening a new permanent “Harry Potter” exhibition on Wednesday.
The collection features items from Harry Potter historian Christopher Knoll, a longtime member of the Academy of Magical Arts and president of Ovation Productions, including Harry’s broom from 2001’s “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
Wands used in the movie franchise also will be on display, including a black wand box signed by Maggie Smith, Harry’s black-handled instruction wand and Dumbledore’s purple-handled wand.
Other items in the collection include Harry’s robe and other costumes, the young wizard’s quill and ink bottle, signed blueprints of rooms in Hogwarts, photos, posters and even a pair of star Daniel Radcliffe’s tennis shoes.
“We salute the thrilling Harry Potter movies as part of Hollywood’s legendary history,” museum founder and president Donelle Dadigan said in a statement. “We are excited to present these famous items for fans to experience up close and personal.”
