Robert De Niro leaves his mark in cement in Hollywood

Finally Robert De Niro has a presence on Hollywood Boulevard — the actor left his handprints and footprints in cement Monday outside TCL Chinese Theater.
The “Silver Linings Playbook” actor, who’s nominated for a supporting actor Oscar for his work in the film, was accompanied by wife Grace Hightower and introduced by Billy Crystal and “Playbook” director David O. Russell.
“You know, Joe Pesci always said I’d end up with my feet in cement,” the 69-year-old De Niro told the crowd, according to E! News. “I don’t think this is what he had in mind.”
De Niro, who actually has no star on Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame, seemed to be sending himself some sort of love letter with his effort, however. He dated his work “2/14/13,” which is Valentine’s Day, rather than “2/4/13,” which was the actual date.
No worries about future generations getting bad info, however; TMZ reports that the gaffe has already been fixed to reflect reality.
