Pianist Chick Corea and vibraphonist Gary Burton released their seventh collaboration this year in “Hot House,” which continues the musical conversation that began in 1972 with the landmark recording “Crystal Silence.” Although the new album includes takes on songs by the Beatles, Monk and Antonio Carlos Jobim, where they’ll wind up for this date with guests the Harlem String Quartet is anyone’s guess, but odds are the destination will be worth the journey. Valley Performing Arts Center, 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge. 8 p.m. Sat. $20 to $65. https://www.valleyperformingartscenter.org.
