The Real Rocky: This documentary from Jeff Feuerzeig looks at the career of Chuck Wepner, the “Bayonne Bleeder,” a former New Jersey state heavyweight boxing champion who fought George Foreman, Sonny Liston and Muhammad Ali. He says that he was the inspiration for the “Rocky” character (5 p.m. ESPN).

NCIS: Gibbs (Mark Harmon) meets Ducky’s (David McCallum) new girlfriend (Cheryl Ladd) in this new episode (8 p.m. CBS).

Frontline: The new episode “Death by Fire” raises troubling questions in the case of a Texan who was executed in 2004 for the arson deaths of his three children, but new evidence raises doubts about whether he was guilty (9 p.m. KOCE).

Prayer for a Perfect Season: Marc Levin’s documentary focuses on the 2010-11 basketball season at St. Patrick’s High School in Elizabeth, N.J., and their quest for a perfect season all comes down to a final game (9 p.m. HBO).

Women, War & Peace: Tilda Swinton narrates the new episode, “Peace Unveiled,” which tells the story of three women in Afghanistan who organized to make sure that women would have a seat at the negotiating table with the Taliban (10 p.m. KOCE).

Top Shot: In the season finale the final four set their sites on pushing their marksmenship to the limits (10 p.m. History).

Flip Men: In the premiere of this new series, two real estate flippers buy a home sight unseen and discover that it was a meth lab (10:30 p.m. Spike).

SPECIALS

Zombies: A Living History: This new special traces the concept of zombies back centuries, with every culture having some form of a living-dead legend (8 p.m. History).

MOVIES

Don’t Expect Too Much: This 2011 documentary, directed by Susan Ray, traces director Nicholas Ray’s bold experiments in cinema. With Victor Erice and Jim Jarmusch (9:45 p.m. TCM).

SPORTS

Hockey: The Tampa Bay Lightning visit the Buffalo Sabres (4:30 p.m. VS).
