The latest Arbitron radio ratings for the Los Angeles-Orange County market brought no change at the top from the previous month, with music stations KIIS-FM (102.7), KBIG-FM (104.3) and KAMP-FM (97.1) again finishing 1-2-3, respectively.
Although there was some change in positioning, nine of the top 10 most listened-to stations between Sept. 12 and Oct. 9 were also in the top 10 the preceding month.
The exception was talk outlet KFI-AM (640), which — after dipping during the summer, placing 13th last time out — bounced back during this survey period to finish ninth.

Ricardo “El Mandril” Sanchez of regional-Mexican music station KLAX-FM (97.9) was No. 1 in the weekday morning ratings for the fifth survey in a row. Each survey covers a four-week period, as opposed to a calendar month.
The top 10 stations overall in terms of audience share, in order: KIIS; KBIG; KAMP; a three-way tie of KRTH-FM (101.1), KOST-FM (103.5) and KPWR-FM (105.9); KLAX; KLVE-FM (107.5); KFI; and KROQ-FM (106.7).
Country music station KKGO-FM (105.1) finished 14th, all-news outlet KNX-AM (1070) was 17th and jazz station KKJZ-FM (88.1) placed 39th. Classical music station KUSC-FM (91.5) and news/information station KPCC-FM (89.3) tied as the top-rated public radio stations at No. 20.
