Golden Globes: Share your predictions via our Play-at-Home Ballot

Coming on the heels of the announcement of this year’s Oscar nominations, the 70th Golden Globes will be handed out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. on Sunday night.
That still leaves plenty of time for armchair Golden Globes experts to fill out predictions and opinions with The Times’ Play-at-Home Ballot. After marking your selections, you can easily share your ballot on Facebook and Twitter.
Since the Globes have a different format than the Oscars — splitting films and lead actors into two categories (drama and comedy/musical) and also recognizing TV shows and perfomers — they’re something of a different ballgame.

Some of this year’s Globes surprises so far include a best comedy nomination for Lasse Hallstrom’s little-seen romantic comedy “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” and a best comedy actress nomination for Meryl Streep in the marital dramedy “Hope Springs.”
Another category to watch is best director, in which the Globes and Oscars share only two of five nominees: Steven Spielberg (“Lincoln”) and Ang Lee (“Life of Pi”). After Ben Affleck (“Argo”) and Kathryn Bigelow (“Zero Dark Thirty”) were passed over by Academy voters, it will be interesting to see if one of them prevails at the Globes.
