Golden Globes 2013: Dior vs. Dior
Dior’s new designer Raf Simons has dressed a constellation of stars in recent months, including two of the highest profile guests at tonight’s awards. Both ladies wore red, Jennifer Lawrence in a strapless, 1950s-ish style dress with a molded bustier that sent the Twitterverse into overdrive chattering about her assets, and Marion Cotillard in a more demure red column with draped detail, which was whipped up by Simons especially for her.
Any pizazz that Lawrence might have had was deflated as soon as she opened her mouth. “It’s Dior Haute Couture,” she told E! Entertainment Television. “I don’t know what ‘haute’ means, but I have to say it.”
RIP glamour.
