ICM’s Bob Broder exits firm to work with TV producer Chuck Lorre

Top television agent Bob Broder is going to work with his biggest client.
Broder, a partner at ICM Partners, is going is joining producer Chuck Lorre’s production company. Lorre is the creative force behind the CBS hits “Two and a Half Men,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mike & Molly.”
The move comes just a week after Lorre signed a new contract with Warner Bros. to continue developing TV shows and enter the movie business. Lorre has been associated with Warner Bros. for many years and his shows have generated hundreds of millions in rerun money for the studio.
In a statement, Lorre cracked that he was grateful to have “such an incredibly wise, experienced and vaguely ruthless guy at the helm of this thing.”
Broder was a founding partner of the Broder Kurland Agency, which became a powerhouse in the television industry and in 2006 merged with ICM. Earlier this year, ICM completed a buyout of the agency from its longtime Chairman and Chief Executive Jeff Berg and private equity firm Rizvi Traverse Management.
