Time Warner Cable Chairman and Chief Executive Glenn Britt disclosed to the company Tuesday that he has begun treatment for cancer.
Britt, who is retiring at the end of the year and will be succeeded by Time Warner Cable Chief Operating Officer Rob Marcus, is a cancer survivor, having successfully battled melanoma five years ago.
In the memo to staff, Britt said he was “optimistic about my prognosis” and would continue to work through December to complete the leadership transition.
