The recently renovated Midcentury Modern two-story was created by commercial architect Lorand West in a circular shape so he could land a helicopter on the roof. The helipad is intact but West was unable to gain the necessary approvals for use.
A round double-sided fireplace echoes the design theme and creates a focal point in the living room. The kitchen was redone with stainless steel counters and appliances.
Dark wood floors, a motorized projection screen and a glass deck are among features in the master bedroom for a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms. There are 3,287 square feet of living space.
Walls of glass take in views of the surrounding hillsides.
The terraced Zen-inspired backyard includes a saltwater swimming pool, an above-ground spa and a fire pit.
Hudson, who died in 1985 at 59, was a popular leading man and emerged as a sex symbol in the 1950s and 1960s. He starred in such films as “Giant” (1956), “Pillow Talk” (1959) and the 1970s series “McMillan & Wife,” among others.
Rodeo Realty agent Tom Otero has the listing.
