Boxer: Favors comprehensive immigration reform.
Fiorina: Opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants. Will not discuss other reforms until government “secures the border” and creates guest-worker program.
ENVIRONMENT
Boxer: Opposes new offshore oil drilling in California. Supports state’s anti-global warming law and federal cap-and-trade legislation.
Fiorina: Supports additional offshore oil drilling if California voters approve it. Says no state acting alone can affect global warming, and state’s law would put California at competitive disadvantage.
SOCIAL ISSUES
Boxer: Supports same-sex marriage and abortion rights.
Fiorina: Opposes gay marriage and abortion rights, except in cases of rape, incest and when pregnancy threatens life of mother.
