Events: Fair days in Antelope Valley

The 10-day Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival brings together traditional offerings — a junior livestock auction, home arts exhibits and “Rural Olympics” — alongside a range of attractions and events, among them a demolition derby, professional bull riding, carnival rides, fair vendors, food booths and the Turf Club Satellite Wagering Facility. The Lancaster Honda Concert Series kicks off with the Motor City Madman himself, Ted Nugent, on Friday. Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, 2551 W. Ave. H, Lancaster. Friday through Aug. 29.
