She’s back: Heather Locklear will reprise her role of Amanda from the original “Melrose Place” on the updated version that recently premiered on the CW. Her first of several appearances will be Nov. 17, the network said.
Cable casting: Martin Short and Campbell Scott are joining FX’s “Damages” as series regulars, while Lily Tomlin and Keith Carradine are signing on as guest stars for the third season of the legal drama, which begins production this week in New York.
Film prize: Joshua Weigl of Encino has won the $100,000 first-place prize at the Doorpost Film Project in Nashville for “The Butterfly Circus,” a 20-minute film that he directed from a script he wrote with his wife, Rebekah.
