UC Irvine 84, at Loyola Marymount 78: Michael Hunter scored 17 points, including two three-point baskets in the final minute, to complete the rally for the Anteaters (2-1), who trailed by 14 in the first half. Eric Wise also scored 17 for Irvine, which used an 18-2 run to get back into the game before halftime. Drew Viney had a career-high 30 points for the Lions (1-3), whose losses have all been by six points or fewer. Irvine took its first lead, 42-40, on a Hunter jump shot with 17:54 left. From that point, the game featured 10 ties and 11 lead changes.
