at Philadelphia 6, New York 5 (10 innings): Shane Victorino’s bases-loaded walk with two outs in the 10th inning lifted the Phillies. Jack Taschner (1-0) retired Carlos Beltran on an inning-ending double play in the 10th inning.
at Washington 6, St. Louis 1: Shairon Martis (3-0) retired the first 14 batters and finished with a five-hitter and Ryan Zimmerman hit a double to extend his Nationals-record hitting streak to 21 games.
Arizona 4, at Milwaukee 1: Dan Haren (3-3) struck out 11 to win his third consecutive start.
at Pittsburgh 8, Cincinnati 6: Nate McLouth’s run-scoring single in the first inning allowed the Pirates to end a scoreless streak at 22 innings.
Colorado 5, at San Francisco 1: Ryan Spilborghs hit two home runs and Jason Marquis (4-1) pitched a five-hitter.
Houston 5, at Atlanta 1: Lance Berkman hit a home run and Hunter Pence had three hits for the Astros.
at Dodgers 2, San Diego 1 (10 innings): Andre Ethier’s bases-loaded single drove in the winning run.
