Re Patrick Goldstein’s column on Michael Jackson [“Depressingly Familiar Tale,” June 30]: Anyone with any appreciation of any art anywhere will have to ignore your ignorant (but hurtful) words.
Where on Earth do you think all that excellence in dance and song and performance came from?
A shallow place? A place that wanted only recognition?
The man was an artist.
