Acerbic actress and comedian Roseanne Barr premieres an hourlong radio show today on the left-leaning KPFK-FM (90.7), in which she and partner Johnny Argent will take listener calls, interview guests and discuss politics and other issues.
Barr and Argent will take over the Wednesday edition of the station’s “Beneath the Surface” program, which airs at 5 p.m. weekdays. KPFK invited the pair back after they held forth on election day, a program that featured fewer wisecracks about Sarah Palin or William Ayres than about Barr’s earnest hope and anxiety over the election results and her rapport with callers. KPFK said their stint on “Beneath the Surface” will run at least through spring.
