Starbucks Corp. will offer breakfast and coffee for $3.95 as it seeks to lift morning sales.
The value meals, available in the continental U.S. beginning March 3, will feature a tall coffee and a choice of four egg sandwiches, or a caffe latte and coffee cake or oatmeal, the Seattle-based company said.
Chief Executive Howard Schultz is promoting the value meals as cost-conscious consumers curb spending on its premium coffee. Starbucks is also facing competition as McDonald’s Corp., the world’s largest restaurant chain, offers a wider selection of coffee drinks.
