A judge has put off a final ruling in a high-stakes lawsuit filed by Orange County officials that seeks to roll back sheriff’s deputies’ retirement benefits.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Helen Bendix took the matter under submission Friday after hearing arguments from the county and the union representing the deputies. In a tentative ruling earlier this week, Bendix sided with the union in its motion to dismiss the case.
