Re “Cranking It Way Up,” by Ann Powers, Feb. 9: Paul McCartney was nominated for best male pop vocal with “That Was Me.”

So how come the Grammy brain trust didn’t let him perform it, instead relegating him simply to oldies status by having him sing “I Saw Her Standing There”?
