Big cruise lines have intestinal viral outbreaks that sicken the entire ship. Now, cruise ships have even been stalked by pirates.

Passengers have disappeared, evidently overboard, but no one seems to care whether they fell, jumped or were pushed.

But the Mississippi paddle steamboat Delta Queen is put out of business because of fire concerns, although it has never caught fire [“New Choices to Float Your Boat,” Jan. 25]. The government doesn’t care about our past and culture.
