Dirk Nowitzki powers Dallas to overtime win

at Dallas 115, Chicago 114 (OT): Dirk Nowitzki scored 44 points, 14 in overtime, and the Mavericks overcame a hand injury to second-leading scorer Jason Terry to win for the fifth time in six games. Terry, averaging 20.2 points a game, will be out for an extended stretch after sustaining a broken bone in his left hand during the first half. He told team officials he was not sure when the injury occurred.
Detroit 126, at Milwaukee 121 (OT): Allen Iverson and Richard Hamilton combined for 15 of the Pistons’ 17 points in overtime. Hamilton had 38 points, his career high as a reserve and the most ever off the bench by a Pistons player. Iverson finished with 27 points.
at New Jersey 114, Denver 70: Devin Harris scored 14 of his 28 points from the free-throw line and the Nets won their season-high fourth straight game. New Jersey had a season-high 20-point halftime lead on its way to handing the Nuggets their worst loss of the season.
at Philadelphia 94, Miami 84: Andre Miller and Marreese Speights each scored 15 points, leading seven 76ers in double figures. Royal Ivey ignited a second-half comeback with 11 off the bench. Dwyane Wade had 21 points for the Heat.
at Houston 107, Minnesota 90: Yao Ming scored 30 points for the Rockets, who rallied from a 15-point deficit in the first half. Al Jefferson had 36 points and 22 rebounds for the Timberwolves.
at Memphis 78, Toronto 70: O.J. Mayo scored 12 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter and the Grizzlies held on to hand the Raptors their sixth consecutive loss.
