26 Cubans, Suspected Smuggler Are Rescued

The Coast Guard rescued 26 Cubans and a suspected smuggler from a boat drifting about 30 miles northeast of Havana. They were taken into custody.
The search began after a relative of one of the immigrants reported that the distressed 33-foot boat was about 30 miles south of the Dry Tortugas, said a Coast Guard officer.
