Art Teacher Suspected of Lewd Acts With Youths

A local art instructor was arrested Thursday on suspicion of performing lewd acts and distributing pornography to two 14-year-olds he had befriended.
Omar Ernesto Perez, 31, was booked at Santa Ana Jail with bail set at $100,000 following an investigation during which police found hundreds of pornographic images on several computers seized from his home and art studio, authorities said.
Perez is accused of using his position as an art instructor to arrange meetings with the two children. Anyone with information is asked to contact Santa Ana police at (714) 245-8362.
