Dispute Between Typist, Board Member Settled

The Mojave Water Agency’s board of directors Thursday dropped from its agenda the question of whether to compensate a woman embroiled in a bizarre pay dispute with board member Richard Hall after he provided a copy of a $1,125 check paid to the woman for transcribing services.
Conni Su Herrington, a legal secretary in Mississippi who met Hall on a singles website, alleged he had refused to pay her for transcribing tapes of agency board meetings.
