Huizar Seeks Survey of City’s Historic Sites

Councilman Jose Huizar on Wednesday proposed a citywide survey of all historical sites to help prevent their demolition without notice and review.
Huizar was responding to the recent demolition of a historic Jewish community center in Boyle Heights, part of his district.
