Abu Ghraib Guard Says He Followed Orders

The court-martial of Abu Ghraib prison guard Sgt. Michael J. Smith, 24, opened at Ft. Meade with the military’s assertion that Smith was part of a rogue band of guards who “tormented, terrorized and terrified” detainees at the Iraqi prison.
Defense lawyers said Smith was acting on orders from above and simply doing his job.
