Those Heavenly Arches

“Next Stop, the Pearly Gates” (Oct. 24) states that 64% of Americans believe they are headed for heaven. I don’t see that at all. What I see is 64% of Americans headed for McDonald’s. And I’m sure they’ll get there. But will they be truly nourished?

Or in the words of Mark Twain, roughly paraphrased: If all those people are going to heaven, then I want to be in the other place, among the 1%.
