Murrieta Valley Gets Runner Back

The Murrieta Valley High boys’ cross-country team should be back at full strength when the Nighthawks compete in the Division I-II team sweepstakes race of the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational on Saturday morning.

A medical condition prevented Greg Hasty, Murrieta Valley’s No. 5 runner, from competing in the Inland Empire Challenge at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario on Oct. 11. Coach Steve Chavez said Hasty would be ready to run at Mt. San Antonio.

Ollie Linton, an all-Mission League outfielder from Encino Crespi, has committed to UC Irvine.... Greg Folk, a member of the under-17 national soccer team and a former standout at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, has committed to defending NCAA champion UCLA.
