Jury to Resume Work in Quattrone Trial

The criminal trial of Frank Quattrone will resume today in a Manhattan federal court when an absent juror is expected to return after the birth of his first child, allowing the deadlocked jury to start its fourth day of deliberations.
John Keker, the lead attorney for the former star banker, said during a closed-door meeting with the judge that he was concerned jurors have been away from the trial for too long to come to a fair verdict. Keker has used the delay and deadlock to push for a mistrial.
For the second straight day, however, he failed to persuade U.S. District Judge Richard Owen to put a stop to the trial.
