Kennedy series: ABC has paid sister studio Touchstone Television to develop a script for an hourlong drama series about America’s most famous political family. “The Kennedys” would open in 1959, as John F. Kennedy prepares for his presidential bid, then trace his campaign and White House years through the eyes of key family members, including wife Jackie, brother Robert F. Kennedy and patriarch Joseph P. Kennedy.
