Man Accused in Carjack Death Sent to Hospital

Jose Luis Chichipa, the Mira Loma man accused of dragging a Walnut man to death during an attempted carjacking at Ontario International Airport in March, was ordered to Patton State Hospital on Thursday after being found mentally unfit to stand trial last month.
Patton officials will assess Chichipa and present an updated prognosis to San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Mary Fuller on Jan. 7.
