The ousted president of the Washington Teachers’ Union pleaded guilty to conspiracy and mail fraud in the theft of more than $2.5 million that went for silverware, furs and season football and basketball tickets.
Barbara A. Bullock, 65, said she took the money between 1995 and September 2002. She implicated her former executive assistant and the union’s treasurer, who are under investigation.
Bullock also admitted stealing at least $720,000 from individual D.C. teachers by directing the city to withhold $140 extra in dues each pay period.
