Mission Viejo Official to Face Censure Vote Over Lunch Tab

A Mission Viejo councilwoman will face a censure vote by colleagues Monday because of questions over a lunch tab reimbursement request.
Councilman Lance MacLean said he wants Gail Reavis censured for filing a $32.30 expense report for an Aug. 5 lunch with Planning Commissioner Bo Klein.
Councilwoman Patricia Kelly said she was told by Klein that Reavis’ husband, Rick, also attended the lunch. On her expense report, Reavis claimed lunch for herself and Klein, but the receipt showed three entrees and three iced teas.
Reavis could not be reached for comment.
MacLean said he asked Mayor John Paul Ledesma to read a public statement reprimanding Reavis, but said the mayor refused. Ledesma could not be reached for comment.
“The mayor’s refusal to make a statement has forced a vote on this,” MacLean said.
