City Council Votes to Alter EIDC Contract

The City Council voted Friday to renegotiate its contract with the Entertainment Industry Development Corp., the nonprofit agency under investigation by the district attorney’s office for alleged misuse of public funds.
Because concerns have been raised about whether the EIDC is reimbursing the city in a timely way for filming fees, Councilwoman Wendy Greuel said the new contract should guarantee expedited payments.
