Public Mass Set for Peck

Cardinal Roger M. Mahony will officiate at a public memorial Mass for actor Gregory Peck at 2 p.m. today at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles.

Brock Peters, who appeared with Peck in the 1962 film “To Kill a Mockingbird,” will deliver the eulogy. Peck, who earned an Academy Award for his role as attorney Atticus Finch in the film, died Thursday. He was 87.

Burial will be private.
