Mighty Ducks Can Be Seen at the Pond Tonight for Game 5, but Only in 2-D

The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim are on the road in New Jersey, but the Arrowhead Pond doors will be open today to fans looking for a place to watch Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals.

The tickets go on sale at 10 a.m.; game time is 5 p.m. The cost is $5 -- which will be donated to charity -- and must be paid in cash. Parking is free, and some concessions and merchandise will be available at a discounted price.

Fans can also enter for a chance to win four tickets to Game 6 of the finals Saturday in Anaheim.

Now that the series is tied 2-2, Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle and East Rutherford Mayor Jim Cassella have finalized their friendly Stanley Cup wager.

If the Ducks win against the New Jersey Devils, Cassella will send Pringle a package of New Jersey and East Rutherford products, including a box of saltwater taffy and New Jersey wine.

If Anaheim loses, Pringle will send Cassella surfing attire from Pacific Sunwear, an 8-foot palm tree from Visser’s Florist, a bottle of California wine from the Catch restaurant, a crystal statue of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, and a box of Anaheim chiles and oranges from Gigante USA.

Both mayors have agreed to wear the other team’s jersey to work and issue a city proclamation congratulating the other team.
