Police Seek Buena Park Woman Last Seen Sunday

Buena Park police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a woman who has been missing under suspicious circumstances since Sunday, authorities said Tuesday.
Ruxandra Brasov, 25, who is married with three children, was last seen about 7:30 p.m. Sunday near La Palma Avenue and Euclid Street in Anaheim, where her car had overheated, said Sgt. Rich Pena, a spokesman for the Buena Park Police Department.
Concerned for her own safety, Brasov asked a friend to follow as she drove the car home to Buena Park, Pena said. Somewhere along the way, however, the two vehicles got separated and Brasov never made it home, Pena said.
When she failed to return home, her family reported her missing, Pena said. Authorities found her abandoned 1993 four-door Ford Tempo -- with groceries in the back seat -- about 10:30 p.m. Monday near Brookhurst Road and Orangethorpe Avenue in Fullerton.
“The lady has three small children and she’s just not around,” Pena said. “At this point it’s very suspicious.”
Anyone with information on the woman’s whereabouts should call Det. Manny Martinez at (714) 562-3964, or the Police Department’s watch commander at (714) 562-3935.
