Younger wine drinkers glad to be noticed

In regards to the wine industry’s recent discovery of younger and more mature wine drinkers (“Pursuing Wine Buyers of a Younger Vintage,” Jan. 15), I say, “Duh.” It’s no coincidence that the generation that has grown up attending wine courses in colleges and universities is more selective in choosing wines than the average adult.
I applaud the Wine Market Council for finally recognizing the immense market opportunity posed by this younger age group, though overall, I would ask why has it taken so long?
