Witness Says Woman Blamed Self for Affair

From Times Wire Reports

A Texas dentist accused of running over and killing her husband with her Mercedes blamed herself for his affair, saying her neglect allowed the other woman to move in on her husband and his money, a private investigator testified in the Houston trial.

Claudine Phillips, who works for Blue Moon Investigations, testified that Clara Harris, 44, told her that her orthodontist husband had fallen in love with his mistress and was blind to her financial motives.

Harris said she had paid too much attention to her 4-year-old twin boys, leaving husband David Harris open to the advances of his former receptionist, a 38-year-old divorced mother of three named Gail Bridges.
