Ex-Serbian President Denies War Crimes

Former Serbian President Milan Milutinovic pleaded not guilty to charges of crimes against humanity during the 1999 Kosovo conflict as he made his first court appearance at the U.N. tribunal in The Hague since he surrendered last week.
Milutinovic, a former ally of ex-Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, denied charges including murder, deportation, persecutions and war crimes.
Prosecutors allege that Milutinovic, 60, had at least formal control over Serb forces who killed hundreds of ethnic Albanians and expelled hundreds of thousands from their homes.
