Man Stabbed Trying to Stop a Fight in Bar

A Ventura man was stabbed in the back while trying to break up a fight at the Red Cove bar on East Main Street early Sunday, police said.
Kenneth Ross, 33, who suffered a collapsed lung, was reported in fair condition at Ventura County Medical Center.
About 1 a.m., Ross intervened between his girlfriend and a woman at the bar and was stabbed by another man. Ventura police have been unable to identify the man, and no arrests were made.
