Man Dies After Car Flips on Icy Road

A 72-year-old Irvine man was killed Saturday morning in a two-vehicle collision on California 33.
The victim, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, lost control of his Dodge Viper on an icy curve near Lockwood Valley Road about 9 a.m., authorities said. The car then rolled and landed sideways on the highway.
A small pickup truck rounding the curve then struck the Viper, authorities said.
