3 Palestinians Killed; Gaza Road Blocked
Israeli troops killed three Palestinians in the West Bank and divided the Gaza Strip into three parts by blocking its main north-south road with dirt barricades.
A 17-year-old and his grandfather were killed in Nablus. Neighbors said they were just walking, but the army said they had been in a group throwing firebombs. Soldiers also killed a 24-year-old man in Tulkarm. The army said he was armed, but Palestinians said he was not.
Palestinians sought to evade barriers on the Gaza Strip road by traveling along a narrow strip of beach, as they have in the past.
